Welcome back to Day 3 of your 30 Day Discover Your Groove Challenge!
For today’s coaching session, we’re simply going to dance to a variety of routines from the Body Groove collection, but one in particular. It’s called Guilt and it’s from my House Party video collection. This special routine is a great workout that will do wonders for your strength and flexibility, but there’s also a hidden challenge in it. In this workout, I specifically ask you to be...weird.
Weird can mean lots of things to different people, and you’ll need to figure out what weird looks like for you. The important question to ask yourself during this workout is: do you find it difficult to be weird, even if it’s just for a brief moment, and in the privacy of your own home?
And if you do…(and almost everyone does)...why? What makes it so difficult?
Remember, I don’t have all your answers. You’ll need to explore this for yourself.
But I will tell you this, the less I seek other people's approval and the more I simply ALLOW myself to be myself without worrying so much about what other people might think about it the more weird comes out in the most beautiful and energizing of ways!
So go do this workout, and then grab your pen and paper and write down your thoughts about being weird. Remember, be honest with yourself!
TODAY’S CHALLENGE: As you dance today, I want you to be as weird, or creative as you possibly can. Really allow yourself to explore what your body can do and don’t be afraid to be weird. Remember… it’s more fun the more weird you are.
