Learning to Love Yourself.

Posted on September 24 2018

The relationship you have with yourself is the most important one you will ever have. Because of this it's really important to develop this relationship just like you would with another person who you truly love.

However, truly loving yourself can seem impossible. We constantly beat ourselves up, speak horribly to ourselves, let ourselves get run down....

I know this because that's what I used to do... and the idea of loving myself seemed like it could never happen.

So, instead of trying to love myself, I started by liking myself. That meant being kind and nice to myself.... and that eventually led to me loving myself.

I go into how this works in this brief video that I want you to watch now...

Start today with being nice and kind to yourself. Eventually you too will look in the mirror one day and say, "I love you." Best of all, you'll actually mean it.

Remember... You are worth it!

Much love - Misty

TY Misty, I see how passionate you truly are in this video. It’s taken me 44 yrs to just now begin to start liking myself and that I do matter, what I do matters, and it begins w/me. TY….I love me!

Thank you so much Misty for sharing your heart with us and it is so true how we treat ourselves. I have learned this over the years as well and also using other video work outs you always see fit women and men to. I love your program because you have different walks of people all different sizes and we are all having a great time together. I am just starting your program and know I am going to love it. You are a beautiful lady inside and out.

    God bless…:))

This was most touching and true for me cause I’ve never really loved myself and now at this point I’m still having that problem.I have received my DVD and I’m ready to begin getting my groove on and hope to start loving me for who I am.

“Oh, dear.” I thought another self esteem message , but you had me crying! I have had chronic pain for over 10 years . I am 57 and turning 58 next month. I have gained about 30 lbs. and despite changing my diet to mainly vegetarian , I can’t seem to make any headway. I have beat myself up for it.
I bought Body Groove because it looked like so much fun. I did the first workout yesterday and wow, I feel like a weight is lifting . I don’t have to be perfect. I can move in a way that feels good to me..
You are a sweet soul and your program is going to make a world of difference in my life.

    You’re absolutely right Misty!
“Today” I can say, I am looking forward to learning and then [doing], i.e., loving myself and [hopefully] relentlessly. I waiting for your dvds to arrive but definitely looking forward to joining you (and the rest of the dance community) getting my groove on.
Thank you for being right where you are right now; your encouragement is appreciated

Misty, I am 77 years old. I am in fairly healthy good shape for my age. And I want to keep it that way for whatever time I have left on this earth. I was always of a slender build ( 5’ 7" in my youth) I weighed in at 115 until my early 40’s when I started to Bloome. I know food choices are the main cause of weight gain. So I started “noom” to get smarter about how to eat healthily for life. Then I saw your Dance exercise video it really intrigued me because I love to dance. Years ago I used to do Country Line Dancing, was a lot of fun and it did keep my weight down. We moved out of the state, to NC. where there is no line dance. That’s when I started to gain most of the weight
So I am excited to get started with your Dance Workouts.

I love how easy the DVD’s are, I am very uncoordinated! And thank you for you this video, it really touched my heart. It so Incredibly easy for me to see the good in others and love them, but not so much for myself. I am going to work on really liking myself and hopefully that like will eventually turn into love!

I thought this was just another work out DVD, however, after listening to your message today about loving yourself it really touched my heart, because I don’t love myself, but starting today I’m gonna change that, I’m going to take time to exercise. I am 71 years old and I want to live the rest of my life strong and healthy and loving who God created me to be! I will change my confessions, starting with I will not compare myself with others for this is not wise.
Thank You Misty! I’m on my way!

Thank you for that very inspiring message, Misty. I happen to be on e of those people who are always beating up on themselves. I hate who I am right now and I’m desperately trying to change that, one day at a time

  • Rita: May 01, 2020

My DVD’s have been ordered. I’m 71 and hoping to kickstart my way to better health while I have no time excuses. Guess I’m already 41 days behind, since the shelter in place began!

  • Tonya: May 01, 2020

    Misty,
Thank you for that message. That was very inspirational. The things you said are so true. We must love ourselves before we can truly love someone else.
It is a difficult path, but it can be achieved with positive ppl in our lives. Again thank you for this morning message. ☺️

I am 2 months post perforated colon surgery. I have a temporary ostomy, but decided to try your program. I am 71 years old so my ‘kicks’ are really low & I don’t put as much ‘action’ in my moves. I can feel the difference in my legs already. I believe some movement is better then none.
The 1st day I only did the 1st exercise & the 2nd day I did the 1st & 2nd exercises. I plan to continue this way to continue building my strength & improve my body. Thank you for reminding us to go at our own speed.

Hi Misty, I got my DVD this weekend and was excited to get started. I found out that the DVD player does not work. Rather than spend money on a player, it makes sense to sign up for your annual membership. Here’s the rub, I have already spent money that I don’t have on the DVD. Am I able to get a credit for it after I purchase the annual membership?
BTW: I do love your holistic approach! Thanks.

I usually don’t listen to emails I receive, for some reason I was drawn to listen to this one. It really hits home, thank you, for sending this

Thank you Misti for a wonderful way to wake up and start my day! I got my Body Groove in this weekend and sarted today. I can’t tell you how good I felt just trying to keep up with you. I can’t wait to do it again tomorrow (or maybe I’ll cheat and do it again before I go to bed!) I am energized! Thank you for sharing your beautiful self!
