Achieving Your New Year's Resolutions.

Can you believe that 2020 is only a few days away?

As you get ready for the New Year, are you planning on making any resolutions?

If so, you're not alone. About 50% of all people do... mostly to look and feel better.

In fact, here are the top 3 Resolutions that people made this year...

1. Diet or eat healthier (71%)
2. Exercise More (65%)
3. Lose Weight (54%)


Now, as you know, while many people make health related resolutions, keeping these resolutions can prove to be a little more difficult. 

But here's something that will help...

Instead of making really strict, rigid goals like, losing a certain number of pounds, or following a certain kind of diet, you might be better off making more flexible goals like being a happierhealthier, more authentic version of yourself.

Here's why...

With a rigid eating or exercise goal, it's just so hard to be perfect.

Then, as soon as you miss a day of exercise, or eat a slice of bread, you feel like you're a total failure. This makes you feel like quitting.

Personally, I've failed at just about every diet/weight loss type of goal I ever made.

However, when I shifted my goals to be more about overall health and happiness that's when I started having success.

You see, if you have a day where you weren't as happy as you wanted to be, it's not like you're going to completely abandon your desire to be happy...

At the end of each day if you didn't treat your body kindly with the foods you ate and the way you moved... tomorrow is another chance to figure it out.

Compare that to trying to stick to a new diet.

If you mess up it can be days, weeks or months before you start trying again. Not to mention the feelings of guilt and self doubt.

However, when you set goals to be more healthy and happy, you have the flexibility you need to make constant adjustments... without the guilt, and without constantly wanting to give up.

Here's the trick though...

Figure out the things that are going to make you happy and healthy. 

I suggest you even make a list... but don't be too rigid. 

You've got a big, beautiful brain and you know what's right for you. So listen to your intuition and do the things that you need.
